The team is in the low hundreds, comprising talent from successful SMB software companies like Shopify, HubSpot, and DoorDash, and plans to scale faster in 2026. Owner is a remote-first, global company headquartered in San Francisco with a sales hub in Toronto, with most teammates distributed globally. The company is building an AI-first restaurant profit suite, a self-driving platform for success. This role will lead all restaurant-facing product teams, including POS, Payments, Mobile, Web, and AI-powered agent services, to set a unified strategy that drives revenue growth, operational excellence, and best-in-class guest experiences for thousands of restaurants and millions of diners.

Requirements

  • 10+ Years Product Management Experience with 3+ years leading product managers or product teams
  • Director‑level product leadership with a track record of setting vision, driving outcomes, and scaling healthy teams.
  • Ability to get things done at scale: repeated examples of shipping high‑quality products that improved core business metrics.
  • Excellent product sense: sharp judgment on where to invent versus simplify, with a high bar for usability, performance, and accessibility.
  • Deep customer empathy: strong qualitative research chops that translate into crisp priorities and thoughtful tradeoffs.
  • Strong data fluency: defines clear KPIs, integrates quantitative and qualitative signals, and updates conviction quickly.
  • Clear, structured communication that drives alignment across levels and functions.
  • Technical depth to engage on architecture, integrations, reliability, and constraints.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in restaurant or retail operations, including mission-critical, in-store workflows
  • Familiarity with POS ecosystems, hardware-plus-software products, or offline-tolerant systems
  • Background in payments or fintech, including onboarding, reconciliation, disputes, or financial reporting

Responsibilities

  • Set clear multi‑year product visions and roadmaps, balancing near‑term wins with durable platform bets.
  • Deliver reliable, intuitive experiences across in‑store and online workflows so operators move faster and guests have a consistently excellent experience.
  • Establish measurable goals and operating rhythms that tie team work to business outcomes like conversion, speed of service, retention, and revenue.
  • Drive rigorous discovery and fast, high‑quality delivery, ensuring launches are well‑tested, clearly communicated, and easy to adopt.
  • Strengthen product quality bars for performance, accessibility, and usability across web, app, and in‑store surfaces.
  • Build and mentor a small portfolio of PM teams, up-leveling product sense, decision quality, and cross‑functional collaboration.
