About The Position

We are seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Director of Product Marketing to help lead Bright Machines into its next phase of growth, bringing AI- and robotics-enabled manufacturing to the edge. As Bright Machines scales, this role will be instrumental in shaping how our products, platform, and manufacturing model are understood by customers, partners, and the market at large. You will own the product narrative end-to-end, clearly articulating how Bright Machines delivers real, measurable value by enabling fast, predictable, high-quality manufacturing of complex systems; closer to where products are designed, deployed, and operated. In this role, you will define positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy across Bright Machines’ portfolio, spanning software, data, automation, robotics, and factory systems. You will translate deep technical innovation into clear, compelling stories that connect customer needs, partner value, and product capabilities into a single, cohesive platform vision. This role is ideal for someone who is excited to help define a category, passionate about the convergence of AI, robotics, and manufacturing, and motivated to challenge traditional assumptions about how and where manufacturing should happen.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Product Marketing leadership (Director, Group PMM, or equivalent), ideally in manufacturing technology, robotics, automation, industrial software, AI infrastructure, or adjacent domains.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical products into clear, compelling market narratives.
  • Strong understanding of hardware + software systems, including industrial automation, robotics, or factory systems.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Executive Leadership.
  • Track record of owning positioning, messaging, and product launches for complex, technical products.
  • Customer-centric mindset with strong qualitative and quantitative market insight skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with executive-level presence.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, marketing, or related field; MBA a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing automation, robotics, or factory operations environments.
  • Exposure to enterprise or datacenter infrastructure industries.
  • Understanding of factory KPIs, manufacturing workflows, and operational constraints.
  • Experience supporting sales enablement for complex, high-value systems.
  • Background working with PR firms, analysts, and industry influencers.
  • Ability to balance strategic narrative development with hands-on execution.

Responsibilities

  • Own product positioning and messaging for the Bright Machines portfolio, from core software platforms to AI-driven automation and robotics-enabled factory systems.
  • Define and articulate the Bright Machines story, including the vision for AI- and Robotics-enabled factories, edge manufacturing, and the future of industrial production.
  • Translate product strategy into Go-to-Market Execution, working closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to ensure alignment from roadmap to launch.
  • Lead product launches, including messaging frameworks, narratives, sales enablement materials, and external communications.
  • Enable the sales team with clear value propositions, competitive positioning, customer use cases, and differentiated messaging tailored to target segments.
  • Partner with PR and content teams (including external agencies) to ensure consistent, compelling external storytelling and thought leadership.
  • Engage directly with customers and industry leaders to validate messaging, refine positioning, and surface new market insights.
  • Act as a thought leader, helping shape internal and external conversations around AI, robotics, automation, and the future of manufacturing.
