About The Position

The Director of Product Management owns the vision, strategy, and execution for DISA’s High-Pressure Slurry Ablation product line. This role is responsible for turning customer needs, field performance data, and engineering capabilities into a unified product roadmap that advances commercial adoption, improves reliability, and supports both the mineral processing and uranium business lines. They work across engineering, operations, commercial, and R&D teams to define product requirements, coordinate development, drive improvements in system performance, and ensure that DISA’s product offering meets customer expectations and competitive benchmarks. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic start-up environment, wearing multiple hats and contributing to many areas of business development.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background in mineral processing, process equipment, mechanical systems, or slurry handling.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a product line in a heavy-industrial or process-intensive environment.
  • Ability to translate technical details into structured product requirements and roadmaps.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to synthesize field data into product decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multiple functions and stakeholder groups.
  • Highly technical and detail-driven with a strong ownership mindset.
  • Comfortable in both field and customer-facing settings.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to interact with people and technology while either standing or sitting.

  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks such as typing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, process engineering, operations leadership, or technical program management in a heavy-industrial or mineral processing environment.
  • Experience leading a technical product line from development through commercial deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own a clear product roadmap that advances HPSA commercialization and supports emerging use cases.
  • Define product requirements based on customer feedback, field performance, engineering constraints, and commercial goals.
  • Prioritize features and improvements based on value, feasibility, and long-term strategic positioning.
  • Benchmark competitive technologies and ensure DISA maintains a technical and economic advantage.
  • Work closely with engineering to drive system upgrades, new modules, and product enhancements.
  • Define specifications for new components, reliability upgrades, and performance improvements.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from concept through field deployment and iteration.
  • Ensure effective documentation of product features, changes, and release notes.
  • Lead analysis of field data, uptime metrics, throughput, and recovery performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with commercial and operations teams to understand customer needs and pain points.
  • Translate operational insights into actionable engineering changes.
  • Support customer onboarding, commissioning planning, and feedback collection.
  • Serve as the central point of coordination between engineering, operations, commercial, and R&D.
  • Work with procurement and supply chain to ensure product configurations, BOMs, and standards are consistent and scalable.
  • Collaborate with R&D on long-term innovation pathways tied to HPSA performance and competitive differentiation.
  • Prepare product updates for leadership, investors, and strategic partners.
  • Establish and maintain product performance standards across all deployments.
  • Monitor recurring issues, root causes, and reliability gaps across the fleet.
  • Work with operations to define testing protocols, commissioning standards, and QA/ QC practices.
  • Abide by all policies and procedures established by DISA.
  • Attend and participate in all required safety trainings.
  • Assist with any task required by the direct supervisor.
