About The Position

Pager Health is a connected health platform company that enables healthcare enterprises to deliver high-engagement, intelligent health experiences for their patients, members and teams through integrated technology, AI and concierge services. Our solutions help people get the right care at the right time in the right place and stay healthy, while simultaneously reducing system friction and fragmentation, powering engagement, and orchestrating the enterprise. Pager Health partners with leading payers, providers and employers representing more than 28 million individuals across the United States and Latin America. We believe that healthcare should work for everyone. We believe that it’s too important to be as cumbersome and difficult as it is. And we believe that there is a better way to deliver a simplified, more meaningful healthcare experience for all – one that we’re determined to enable. We are seeking a Director of Product Management to lead Pager Health’s Navigation portfolio, encompassing Clinical, Program, Provider, and Benefits Navigation. This role is ideal for a seasoned, hands-on product leader who combines strong inbound product management capabilities with portfolio-level, market-facing (outbound) product leadership, and is passionate about developing product managers into well-rounded product leaders. Reporting to the VP of Product Management, the Director owns the product strategy, roadmap, market alignment, and outcomes for navigation experiences that sit at the core of Pager Health’s value proposition. This includes responsibility not only for what is built, but also ensuring the portfolio is commercially viable, clearly differentiated, and aligned to real buyer and user problems. You will lead your team’s work with design, engineering, clinical, data, and go-to-market partners to deliver intuitive, scalable, and outcomes-driven navigation solutions that improve access to care and reduce friction across the healthcare ecosystem. This role balances hands-on product leadership with people management. The Director will actively coach and mentor a team of Product Managers whose primary focus is inbound product management, while also remaining comfortable diving into discovery, requirements definition, prioritization, and delivery as needed. Simultaneously, the Director will help their team build strength in outbound product management skills, including market understanding, portfolio thinking, pricing awareness, and go-to-market partnership.

  • 8+ years of product management experience, including experience leading and mentoring other product managers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, healthcare, or a related field - an advanced degree a plus.
  • Strong hands-on product management background spanning discovery, delivery, post-launch optimization, and close partnership with Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success on go-to-market strategy, launch readiness, and post-launch learning.
  • Strong understanding of the product’s role in driving revenue growth and retention.
  • Demonstrated success owning and delivering complex product portfolios, preferably in healthcare, digital health, health IT, or regulated SaaS environments.
  • Experience with pricing strategy, portfolio economics, competitive analysis, or market-facing product leadership in a B2B or B2B2C environment.
  • Proven ability to balance user needs, clinical considerations, technical constraints, and business objectives.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in agile development environments.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and translating complex problem spaces into clear, actionable product direction.
  • Passion for coaching and developing product managers, with a track record of building strong, engaged teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Collaborative leadership style that fosters trust, accountability, and shared ownership.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building products that support care navigation, care management, member engagement, or operational workflows is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own outbound product management for the Navigation portfolio, including market problem framing, competitive differentiation, portfolio positioning, and final product-side recommendations on portfolio prioritization, pricing strategy inputs, and build/buy/partner decisions, bringing clear trade-offs and data-backed rationale to executive decision-making.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to provide clear product inputs for positioning, messaging, launches, and sales enablement.
  • Lead pricing and packaging strategy inputs for navigation products in partnership with Finance, Revenue, and Product Marketing.
  • Own portfolio-level economics, including product profitability, investment trade-offs, and build / buy / partner analysis.
  • Establish and maintain a strong win/loss learning loop, synthesizing insights into roadmap, positioning, and portfolio decisions.
  • Represent the Navigation portfolio externally and internally as a credible market and product expert.
  • Define and evolve a cohesive product strategy for Pager Health’s Navigation portfolio, including Clinical, Program, Provider, and Benefits Navigation.
  • Own the roadmap and ensure alignment with company goals, customer needs, and platform capabilities while balancing near-term delivery with long-term value creation.
  • Ensure portfolio decisions are grounded in clear market problems, competitive context, and economic impact, and that trade-offs across initiatives are explicit and intentional.
  • Remain actively engaged in core product management activities, including discovery, requirements definition, prioritization, and delivery.
  • Lead complex product initiatives end to end, make informed trade-offs, and ensure solutions are well-scoped, high-quality, and impactful.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Product Managers with a primary focus on inbound product management. Set clear expectations, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, and foster a culture of accountability, growth, and strong product judgement.
  • Actively coach Product Managers to expand their capabilities beyond inbound execution, helping them develop outbound product management skills such as market problem framing, portfolio thinking, competitive awareness, and effective partnership with Product Marketing and Revenue teams.
  • Establish clear expectations and development plans that help Product Managers progress from strong inbound execution toward broader portfolio, market, and business-oriented product leadership over time. Hold Product Managers accountable for demonstrated growth in outbound product management competencies over time, including market insights, portfolio thinking, and commercial awareness.
  • Support career development by modeling senior-level product thinking, providing structured feedback, and creating opportunities for PMs to grow in scope, confidence, and impact.
  • Champion a user- and customer-first mindset across the Navigation portfolio.
  • Ensure customer insights, buyer needs, operational realities, and clinical considerations are deeply embedded in product discovery and decision-making.
  • Balance user needs with buyer economics and enterprise realities, ensuring solutions are both usable and commercially viable.
  • Partner closely with Design, Engineering, Data, Clinical, Customer Success, and Go-to-Market teams to translate strategy into effective solutions.
  • Drive alignment across functions, influence priorities through clear product rationale, and ensure shared ownership of outcomes.
  • Oversee execution across the product lifecycle, from discovery and validation through launch and iteration.
  • Ensure teams deliver on commitments, maintain a high bar for quality, and continuously improve products based on data, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Define and track success metrics for navigation products, using data to evaluate performance and inform prioritization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve user experience, operational efficiency, and business impact across the portfolio.

  • The compensation package may include stock options, plus a range of medical, dental, vision, financial, generous PTO, stipends for professional development, and wellness benefits.
