About The Position

The NA Director of Product Management is responsible for developing, leading, and managing PEI’s North American Product Managers & Product Portfolio strategies. This position works collaboratively with the NA Sales Organization to ensure effective execution and implementation of customer & product portfolio strategies within North America. The Director of North American Product Management will implement successful strategies and policies that make PEI NA more productive and efficient while meeting aggressive sales / margin goals. This position will work interdependently with the Global VP of Product, the Global VP of Supplier Relations and COO to maximize NA Sales & NA Gross Profit while mitigating risks of inventory. Previous experience in the electronic interconnect industry is highly preferred

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of Product Management experience is required
  • bachelor's degree in relevant major is preferred
  • Demonstrated organizational management skills for a team of Product Managers and Pricing Specialist
  • Demonstrated collaboration within a matrixed organization of resources outside of the Product department both inside and external to Company.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Exceptional influencing skill
  • Development and mentoring of staff
  • Exceptionally strong product knowledge
  • Excellent Negotiating Skills

  • Previous experience in the electronic interconnect industry is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Meet Departmental financial and operating goals and objectives.
  • Successfully develop and manage the daily activities within the Product Department.
  • Maximize the utility and value of the Company’s inventory.
  • Work on supplier Strategy and Operations to ensure that inventory, process and Supplier strategies are effectively developed and executed.
  • Work with the NA Sales leadership to successfully support customer / regional strategies.
  • Assist in the development of operating and financial goals for the Product Department.
  • Mentor, Manage and review the efficiency and effectiveness of the Product Managers & staff.
  • Create & manage budgets to achieve financial targets and control costs
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate teams to achieve high performance
  • Analyze financial reports and KPIs to measure success and provide guidance when needed
  • Maintain and build relationships with both internal and external customers, and suppliers
  • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion in the market
  • Coordinate with appropriate management teams to align operations with strategic goals
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage risk and ensure business continuity through proactive planning
  • Represent the company at industry events, meetings, and conferences
  • Work with Operations Group to decide what resources are needed ex: wire cutting equipment
  • Know Market Pricing and set Margin expectations
  • Know Market trends, competitors and work to stay ahead of the market
