About The Position

The Director of Product Management will report to the Sr. Director of Product Management for the Control4 Business Unit, serving as a product expert for dealer and end customer facing software experiences. The position will be responsible for building and maintaining the product strategy and software experience KPI targets. Acting as a Control4 Brand Champion the Director of Product must demonstrate an understanding of market positioning and have solid business acumen with experience in presenting to senior leadership. The Director of Product should be experienced in leading and developing individual contributors within the product management team as well as cross-functional team members.

Requirements

  • 10+ Years Product Management experience
  • Experience working with Smart Home, IoT, or Connected Device Industries in a technical or product management role
  • Proven track record of launching a new initiative, service, or product
  • Ability to simplify and articulate complex technical requirements to deliver customer value
  • Gifted at building internal and external relationships
  • Adept at pioneering new initiatives that require a new customer journey
  • Ability to think strategically and make decisions based on thorough research and analysis
  • Experience developing and executing marketing programing

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ Years’ experience in Software Development and Lifecycle Management
  • Custom Install Industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for delivering dealer facing (B2B) and end customer facing (B2B2C) software applications and experiences that increase satisfaction and drive profitable growth
  • Developing growth and platform engagement strategy within specific channels
  • Partner with engineering leaders to build customer and architectural software roadmaps to meet customer needs
  • Help improve time to market while balancing efficiency with Net Promoter Score and User Engagement
  • Understand technical software stack at both local and cloud level to influence development teams without direct management responsibility
  • Development and reporting of software KPIs for applications that drive positive business outcomes
  • Identify and unite new opportunities for strategic relationships to drive category growth
  • Act as the subject matter expert/Brand Champion within the category
  • Constantly meeting with customers to gather insights
  • Drive semi-annual strategic planning sessions to establish goals and objectives
  • In-depth knowledge of competitive dynamics, and develop understanding of how to create differentiation and win in the marketplace
  • Mentor and grow direct report(s)
  • Lead cross-functional teams with humility
