The position is responsible for leading and executing the overall procurement strategy for Faith Technologies and the activities around our Construction division. Leads collaboration between business units to develop standard processes and procurement systems that support the organizational needs, reduces the total material cost, eliminates waste in the current system, and drives productivity across the company and most importantly, at the job site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7-10 years of electrical industry experience, purchasing, manufacturing, and/or distribution experience
  • Travel: 2 5-40%
  • This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Defines and communicates a comprehensive vision for Procurement as it relates to organizational structures, processes, and procurement technology systems to drive high customer service to the Construction division and their stakeholders.
  • Collaborates across the supply chain team but with key stakeholders to drive a common vision across the supply base and other strategies that are being deployed.
  • Acts as coach and developer of managerial talent; as well as skillfully selects and trains those individuals.
  • Evaluates candidates' and managers' willingness to lead, communication and planning competencies, and ability to make decisions under pressure. Assigns team and project-leadership assignments to assess skill/ability. Spends ample time evaluating people in 'test' managerial roles. Holds managers who report to him/her accountable for managerial work.
  • Develops and implements the specific initiatives which will move the Procurement organization along the road map with particular emphasis on the direct spend categories.
  • Develops key metrics for the organization’s effectiveness; develops sourcing process disciplines and management systems necessary to achieve objectives.
  • Leads strategic sourcing initiatives to meet business requirements and maximize value to participants within the Faith Technologies Construction division.
  • Develops innovative approaches to procurement activities that are closely linked to driving field productivity and optimizing the material flow to the point of use/installation.
  • Develops strategic partnerships with suppliers & distributors to offer greater choice and deploy standards that eliminate waste and drive higher productivity at job sites.
  • Collaborates closely with Preconstruction leaders to understand material requirements regionally (and globally) and assist with the development of project procurement strategies. In turn, creating and translating these plans (forecasts) into actionable information with the supply base to create value throughout the supply chain.
  • Collaborates closely with Operations, the division of Excellerate and Finance to establish and execute continuous improvement strategies related to safety, quality, delivery & cost. Programs include but not limited to: Supplier Relationship Management, Supplier Code of Conduct, Strategic Supplier Negotiation & planning and process improvement, Supplier scorecards & KPI’s with creation and renovating of the supply base.
  • Continues development of Procurement’s role in end-to-end (E2E) strategy inclusive of Procure to Pay (P2P) in concert with other departments & stakeholders. Heavy focus on Procurements role in our supply chain to assure material delivery from suppliers to enable overall productivity & effectiveness with high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Creates an atmosphere where Procurement managers are empowered to act as the sole source and responsible party for all material, equipment, assembly, and tool requirements of a job site.
  • Develops operational metrics to effectively track business efficiencies. Applies 80/20 principles to business unit operations. Effectively delegates tasks to appropriate parties; clearly communicates needs and expectations.
  • Measures and monitors the work of individual direct reports and/or collective team/taskforce team(s). Provides frequent and clear feedback to direct reports, offers clear direction, and ensures direct reports are sure about their goals.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
