About The Position

The Director of Procurement and Pricing is responsible for leading the organization’s procurement strategy, including sourcing, pricing, contract management, and vendor management. This role drives cost savings, margin improvement, and procurement ROI while ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The Director of Procurement and Pricing partners with Finance, Operations, and leadership to align procurement with budgets, cash flow, and organizational priorities. They establish strong supplier relationships, enforce procurement controls, and implement systems and processes that enhance efficiency, visibility, and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, related field, or related experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in the procurement or supply chain roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of the procurement processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Organizational skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to conduct repetitive motions on a daily basis (e.g., keyboarding).

Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations to achieve best value and cost optimization.
  • Own procurement savings targets and track realized savings and ROI.
  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing and category management strategies.
  • Build and manage vendor relationships, including performance, risk, and service levels.
  • Establish and monitor procurement KPIs, including cost savings, contract compliance, supplier performance, and spend under management.
  • Drive centralized procurement and enforce spend controls across the organization.
  • Approve purchase orders in accordance with established authority levels and ensure adherence to procurement policies.
  • Oversee and optimize the purchase order process, including accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with approval workflows.
  • Lead bulk purchasing and volume-based negotiations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Implement preferred vendor programs and vendor consolidation strategies.
  • Maintain oversight of contract lifecycle management, including renewals, compliance, and renegotiation opportunities.
  • Establish standardized procurement policies, procedures, and internal controls, including segregation of duties.
  • Ensure audit-ready documentation and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Partner with Finance and Internal Audit to mitigate procurement and vendor-related risks.
  • Implement and optimize procurement systems and automation tools to improve visibility and control.
  • Monitor market trends, forecast demand, and develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, IT, and business units to align procurement strategy with organizational goals.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on cost management, vendor strategy, and supply chain risk.
