About The Position

ViaSun Corporation is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Pre-Construction to lead our pre-construction efforts. In this essential role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pre-construction phase of our projects, ensuring that every detail is meticulously planned and executed. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience required in construction project management or pre-construction roles, with a proven track record of successful project execution.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contract negotiation, and project estimating techniques.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions.
• Proficiency in project management software and estimating tools.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.

Nice To Haves

• A master's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pre-construction team in the planning and execution of all pre-construction activities, including feasibility studies, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to define project scope, specifications, and deliverables.
• Oversee the preparation and evaluation of cost estimates, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in bids.
• Develop and implement strategies for value engineering, cost reduction, and risk management.
• Review and analyze project design documents to identify potential issues early in the process.
• Facilitate communication between all parties involved in the pre-construction process to ensure clarity and alignment on project goals.
• Prepare and present pre-construction proposals to clients, highlighting strategies, timelines, and financial implications.
• Mentor and guide the pre-construction team to promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies that could enhance the pre-construction process.
• Participate in business development efforts and client relationship management to secure new projects.
