About The Position

The Director of Player Personnel and Development will coordinate the recruiting process under direction of Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. Will manage recruiting timeline, create content, and execute communication strategies related to the recruiting process. In addition this role will serve as the primary contact for all student-athlete development initiatives, including: Student-Athlete mentor program, new student-athlete on-boarding, alumni outreach and internship guidance. Provides support for student-athletes transition to college.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in a Division 1 Collegiate football program, college athletic department required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Exemplary record of interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Graphic design experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage recruit database (Teamworks); create recruiting materials and implement communication to recruits through email, social media, and mailings. Design customized graphics using Adobe Photoshop. Coordinate all on-campus recruiting events (official and unofficial visits); communicate with Recruit Board.
  • Manage the mentor program; coordinate summer jobs and outreach to alumni; secure team motivational speakers; coordinate team leadership development programming with rising seniors; career services liaison.
  • Manage all communication and transition for incoming freshmen; develop pre-season curriculum with campus partners; conduct regular meetings throughout the year to monitor progress, provide support and content to assist with transition to college; develop player action plans with coaches to assist with development of student-athletes in their first year.
  • Conduct daily practice communication to support staff through coaching staff, including scheduling and equipment needs; responsible for all practice set-up of clocks, speakers, playclocks and headsets.
  • Serve as contact point for and conduct regular meetings with strength and conditioning, trainers, etc. Plan and prepare team schedules with head coach. Have regular meetings with nutritionist planning meal menus for team and seasonal nutritional needs. Plan, order and stock all team nutrition.
  • Manage Canvas portal and all team texts/announcements; create day-to-day schedules, itineraries and announcements to team, staff and support staff; communicate schedules and itineraries and planning of practices and team events with support staff (SID, trainers, equipment, strength coaches, etc.).
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
