The University of Connecticut is accepting applications and nominations for the full-time positions of Director of Football Recruiting and Director of Player Personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of the correct application of NCAA regulations
  • Strong commitment to the academic goals of the University
  • Excellent organizational, communication and public relations skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with a Division I football program
  • Previous experience assisting with the overall operations of recruitment
  • Proficiency in Teamworks
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite
  • Possesses coaching and student-athlete development philosophies consistent with those of the Division of Athletics and its football program

Responsibilities

  • Manage in collaboration with the director of on-campus recruiting all recruiting activities and operations
  • Oversight, in consultation with the football general manager of the recruiting budget for football
  • Provide a vision and execute the overall plan for official and unofficial visits
  • Providing support for practice and game preparation, including attending meetings related to coaching activities which include game analysis and review of game film
  • Assisting, as needed, with data collection including the tracking of team performance statistics during competitions and practice sessions
  • Produce reports on ongoing activity within the transfer portal
  • Assist the General Manager with communication efforts with prospective student-athletes and their families
  • Prepare film on prospective student-athletes and clip it to highlight abilities/skills that coaches will then use to make an evaluation
  • Assist the coaches recruiting travel
  • Assist with the travel logistics for all recruiting visits
  • Assist the reconciliation process of all expenses within the football program
  • Other program duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach and the General Manager for Football
