About The Position

Director of Pharmacy – Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Pharmacy to oversee pharmacy operations across five sites within our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution and valid KY Pharmacist license.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in pharmacy management including staff (Pharmacists, and Pharmacy Techs).
  • Proven experience managing pharmacy operations including serving as a PIC for a minimum of 5 years, preferably within a community health or FQHC setting.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Knowledge of 340B drug pricing program.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel to and manage all sites effectively.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy management software and electronic health records.
  • Commitment to community health and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and oversight for pharmacy operations across five FQHC sites, ensuring consistency and high standards of care.
  • Manages pharmacy staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintains all pharmacy legal, accreditation, credentialing and certification requirements.
  • Consults with healthcare providers and administrative staff to optimize medication management and patient safety.
  • Oversees medication procurement, inventory management, and budgeting to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, record-keeping, and reporting in accordance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to continuously improve pharmacy services.
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives and participate in clinical committees to support integrated patient care.
