How you’ll contribute A Director of Pharmacy who excels in this role: A Demonstrates administrative responsibilities related to daily operations management. Develops goals, objectives, policies and procedures for departmental operation Works to improve services provided and assure compliance with regulatory requirements Keeps leadership informed of operational activities, needs and problems. Drives installation and implementation of new services, procedures and pharmacy automation products. Fosters teamwork throughout the organization. Develops and executes Performance Improvement Programs involving pharmacy operations. Demonstrates skills in measuring, assessing, and improving organizational performance. Encourages professional development of departmental personnel through in-service education and external education Accurately records and reports census and admission information. Serves as additional point of contact regarding benefit determination within departmental timelines. Performs upfront collections, financial counseling and data processing Ensures accurate capturing and posting of financial activity and maintains accounts receivable at amounts appropriate for payer and acuity mix. Actively works with the Utilization department to ensure pre-certifications, certifications, and appeals are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Corresponds effectively with commercial and managed care payers. Performs insurance benefit verification and financial counseling in a timely manner. Reviews deposits to ensure accuracy and balances cash daily. Ensures accurate records of financial transactions for the facility. Assists the Financial Counselor to ensure payments are received by clients. Manages the pharmacy team including hiring, training, scheduling, resolving performance issues, coaching and mentoring. What we’re looking for: BS Pharmacy required, PharmD and/or MBA/MS (or equivalent education/experience) preferred Must hold a current state license to practice pharmacy. Minimum five years’ experience in hospital pharmacy is desirable. Requirements

  • BS Pharmacy required
  • Must hold a current state license to practice pharmacy.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in hospital pharmacy is desirable.
