Director of Pharmacy
About The Position
A medical facility located near Rock Island, Illinois is seeking a full-time, permanent Director of Pharmacy to join their team. This is a full-time, direct hire position with a Monday-Friday day shift schedule, though additional hours may be required as needed. The role involves managing pharmacy department operations, including staff scheduling, ongoing performance evaluation, and implementing process improvements to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness. The Director will also need to exhibit and sustain proficiency in clinical health-system pharmacy practices, such as antimicrobial stewardship, sterile and non-sterile compounding, controlled substance management, hospital accreditation standards, anticoagulation therapy oversight, and medication safety. The facility boasts a great leadership and administration team. The location in Illinois offers scenic riverfront views, parks, and recreational trails, blending manufacturing roots with a quieter, community-oriented lifestyle along the Mississippi River in the Quad Cities region.
Requirements
- Must have active Pharmacist License
- Must have at least 3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
- Must have at least 2 years of leadership experience
