About The Position

Vancouver Clinic is seeking a strategic and collaborative Director of Pharmacy Services to lead and advance clinical, population health, and operational pharmacy programs across the organization. This role partners with pharmacy leadership to plan, evaluate, and enhance medication management services, while driving health outcomes through innovative clinical programs and population health strategies. The Director collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to design care models, align initiatives, and ensure the success of pharmacy services across the organization. This is a 32-hour-per-week leadership role offering competitive compensation based on experience, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. Key Responsibilities: Provides and supervises delivery of pharmaceutical care in compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations. Supports Pharmacy Operations Manager in the day to day operations of the infusion center and closed door pharmacy and participates in direct pharmacist oversite as needed to assure regulatory compliance. Supports regulatory compliance across the organization by either direct or delegated assignment of a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for all Pharmacy and Healthcare Entities Washington State and Oregon licenses. Develops standards of work performance, orientation and training programs related to medication management Establish short and long-range goals of the department; align goals with Vancouver Clinic mission and values. Partner with executive leadership in strategic planning regarding all components of the medication management process across the continuum of care. Responsible for oversight of routine operations of Pharmacy Population Health Services. Leads the recruitment, selection, orientation, competency assessment and evaluation of assigned employees; fosters ongoing career development for assigned employees. Supports Clinical Manager in the assigned population health management activities; including but not limited to clinical quality programs and services, member engagement activities, provider outreach and engagement activities, utilization and medical management functions, customer service functions, data management/manipulation, and coordination with a variety of care providers, including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other members of the healthcare team. Operates within the budgetary guidelines of the department/system. Accountable for financial stewardship by monitoring appropriate fiscal controls and resources, equipment and supplies. Facilitates drug product selection, utilization, and cost containment across the organization including review of appropriate use, safety, and efficacy to optimize medication use through facilitation of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. Requirements: Doctorate in Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy required. Active unencumbered WA State Pharmacist license required. Active unencumbered OR State Pharmacist license or ability to obtain within 4 months of hire required. Minimum 5 years of pharmacy experience required. Residency training or equivalent years of experience and five years pharmacy leadership experience preferred. Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred Completion of a PGY2 accredited pharmacy residency program or equivalent previous clinical pharmacy experience in Managed Care, Health-System Pharmacy Administration, or Ambulatory setting preferred Vancouver Clinic provides care across a wide range of medical decisions. Requirements

  • Doctorate in Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy required.
  • Active unencumbered WA State Pharmacist license required.
