About The Position
Specialty Medical Staffing is currently recruiting for a Director of Pharmacy for a prestigious hospital in the Morgantown, WV area. This is a full-time leadership role within a tight-knit pharmacy team. This DOP role is accountable for the clinical oversight, operational performance, staff leadership, and regulatory compliance of the pharmacy department.
Requirements
- Active West Virginia Pharmacist license
- Minimum 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience
- Experience ensuring compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and regulatory standards
Responsibilities
- Directing daily pharmacy operations and medication distribution activities
- Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards
- Overseeing medication safety initiatives and quality improvement efforts
- Supporting onboarding, training, and professional development of pharmacy staff
- Participating in medication therapy oversight and utilization review
- Developing and maintaining clinically focused pharmacy services
