As Director of Performance Merchandising, you’ll lead the execution of HOKA’s seasonal directives and key initiatives across the global marketplace, ensuring the right product reaches the right place at the right time. You’ll architect product line plans, drive franchise management, and partner with teams to deliver a consumer and data-informed strategic vision. Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree
  • Bring 10+ years of merchandising experience in both DTC and Wholesale channels
  • Have 5+ years in a leadership role, with a proven track record of developing and mentoring teams
  • Possess strong experience in the footwear and apparel industry, ideally in performance/athletic categories
  • Demonstrate expertise in building and maintaining cross-functional partnerships
  • Excel at setting priorities, fostering cohesion, and motivating teams for a unified marketplace view
  • Make focused decisions based on brand integrity and company values
  • Communicate clearly and consistently, both written and verbally
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated, confident, and solution-oriented
  • Experienced in matrix organizations and building best practices
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Understand financial measurements and how to impact them
  • Willing and able to travel 15-20% annually

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the global merchandising go-to-market calendar, ensuring timely delivery of all key initiatives
  • Architect seasonal product line plans to meet or exceed financial targets and KPIs
  • Own global distribution and segmentation strategies, leading franchise management across the portfolio
  • Build and execute long-range strategies for innovation and marketplace influence
  • Develop launch and flow plans to optimize brand activations and key commercial moments
  • Direct comprehensive End of Season reviews to inform product creation teams of successes and opportunities
  • Establish in-season feedback cadence to inform future decision making
  • Outline growth plans across category, gender, style/SKU, and price architecture
  • Ensure seasonal assortments drive annual sales volume and increase market share
  • Communicate competitive landscape insights to inform merchandising strategies
  • Review sales performance and inventory to inform in-season strategies
  • Develop marketplace long-range plans in partnership with Brand Planning
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the merchandising team, fostering innovation and best practices
  • Serve as key liaison between global product, brand planning, and regional merchandising teams
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships and maximize internal/external relationships
  • Support career development and talent growth across the team
