About The Position

Upfluence helps its customers tell their stories with powerful tools dedicated to the creator economy and social commerce. We allow brands and agencies to collaborate with millions of social media creators and execute comprehensive influencer marketing campaigns. Since its launch in October 2016, Upfluence has yielded a monthly double-digit growth rate, and we are therefore seeking further expansion for our team and offices. Our rapidly growing global team is currently distributed between our offices in NYC, Los Angeles, Mexico City, and Lyon. We’re seeking an experienced, strategic, and people-centered Director of People Operations to lead our People function in the U.S. and support our global HR strategy. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and is passionate about scaling culture, optimizing operations, and empowering employees across multiple hubs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive HR/People Operations experience, preferably in a global or SaaS environment.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. employment law and multi-state compliance.
  • Strong operational mindset with the ability to design and scale processes.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using modern HR tools (Gusto, Rippling, Deel, or similar).
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and thrive in a fast-growing organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluent or conversational French is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and enhance all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment to offboarding.
  • Drive HR strategy aligned with business goals, partnering closely with leadership across global hubs.
  • Manage compliance with U.S. employment laws and coordinate with international HR counterparts in France and Mexico.
  • Lead People Operations processes, including payroll, benefits, onboarding, performance reviews, and compensation reviews.
  • Champion employee engagement, learning & development initiatives, and internal communications.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Legal on compliance, policy updates, and global mobility.
  • Use data and systems (HRIS, ATS, performance tools) to improve visibility, efficiency, and decision-making.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and executives on HR best practices, employee relations, and team dynamics.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion as a core component of company culture.
