Valor Collegiate AcademiesNashville, TN

About The Position

The Director of Partnership Experience will play a critical dual-impact role that balances external relationship management with internal operational excellence for the Impact Team. On the Communications side, this individual will be the voice of Valor’s Impact Team. In addition to serving as the key point of contact for our partners regarding event registration, partnership agreements and billing, this individual will serve as our chief storyteller. They will be responsible for communicating the story of our team’s compelling work with partners for multiple audiences. By elevating the collective voices of the school communities we serve and chronicling the experiences we create together, this role ensures that we engage and retain our current partners, while attracting new relationships across newsletters, social media, and event promotion. On the Operations side, this individual will ensure our physical and logistical environment runs like clockwork by coordinating event logistics like catering and pre-event communication, as well as ensuring the Compass Center is an orderly, hospitable environment within which to host events. The ideal candidate is a clear communicator, a meticulous project manager, and a proactive problem-solver who identifies gaps and bridges them independently. This individual is a natural storyteller and connector who can translate partner impact into engaging content and conversation, while keeping the gears of the team turning.

  • A genuine passion for elevating the work that we do, the impact of human connection in schools, celebrating the success of our partners, and maintaining long-term relationships
  • The ability to remain the "coolest head in the room" during an event or a participant in need
  • Meticulous organization skills: a love for spreadsheets, checklists, neat and orderly spaces, and clear processes

Responsibilities

  • Chief Storyteller: Actively engage with partners alongside the rest of the team; internalize the tangible and emotional experience of our work; capture and share the "impact stories" of our partnerships for multiple audiences (e.g., prospective partners, existing partners, funders) across multiple platforms (e.g., social media, newsletters)
  • Partner Liaison: Act as a primary contact for existing partners, facilitating the signing of agreements, streamlining billing communications, and managing pre- and post-event communications.
  • Event Orchestration: Lead the "boots on the ground" logistics for events—from promotional outreach and storytelling to catering and vendor management.
  • Office & Facilities Coordination: Oversee the orderliness and organization of the Compass Center, and partner with the facilities team to ensure a seamless work environment and to handle internal logistical needs as they arise.
  • Built to Last Liaison: Maintain the stream of communication and information between the Impact Team and the network wide operations team, Built to Last (BTL), to ensure compliance with network-wide operations systems and facilities maintenance.
