About The Position
The Director of Palliative Care is responsible for the direction and oversight of our Palliative Care Programs ensuring consistent quality levels of professional care are provided and maintained according to licensure, state law, and regulatory standards. The Director will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategies to ensure the provision of holistic, patient-centered care that addresses physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. This role provides leadership oversight across three offices located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, West Warwick, Rhode Island, and Jacksonville, Florida. The selected candidate must reside within commuting distance of one of these offices and be comfortable supporting a multi-site, multi-state operation. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, health care, or business administration preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in health care management, palliative care, home health, hospice, or related health programs required.
- Two (2) years of palliative/hospice experience required with intimate knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and Department of Aging and Disability Services regulations.
- Operations and/or Sales Leadership experience required
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships in the communities served as well as within a company.
- Skilled at establishing/maintaining working relationships with key staff, marketing contacts, and clinical staff to ensure the thorough understanding of Palliative Care Mission and services.
- Experience in analyzing processes, improvement planning, supporting change, and effectively managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and direction to the palliative care teams.
- Develops and oversees the implementation of palliative care policies, protocols, and standards of practice in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Provides leadership, management and the vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper clinical operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.
- Develops strategies to attain short- and long-term clinical operational goals to meet the growth needs of the organization. Provides direction and focus toward strategic goals.
- Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of palliative care programs and services through data analysis and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provides clinical consultation and support to the palliative care team, including complex case management and ethical decision-making.
