About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Director of Outpatient services for our 118-bed behavioral health hospital in Georgetown, Texas. The Director of Outpatient Services will be responsible for the development and implementation of Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute's outpatient services by administering a comprehensive program that responds to the community's needs and supports the hospital's overall mission, philosophy, and goals. Responsible for coordinating all patient services and retaining quality personnel through hiring, training, and constant evaluation of programming. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the hospital. Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Masters degree or higher in behavioral science, mental-health related field required.
  • Experience: A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a clinical inpatient/outpatient mental health setting required.
  • General knowledge of areas of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment required.
  • Required Licenses: Master’s Level Licensed Clinician Required (LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LAMFT, LPC)
  • Additional Requirements: Must have current CPR and Therapeutic Options certification (or obtained within 30 days upon hire).

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for managing, organizing, and completing tasks, including setting up the Outpatient departmental system for its completion through delegation to office or outpatient staff.
  • Evaluates programs and activities to ensure patient/customer satisfaction and quality.
  • Develops/revises/updates departmental policies and procedures, work processes and staffing plans.
  • Establishes and monitors departmental performance indicators, goals and objectives that are consistent with GBHI strategic objectives, mission, vision and values.
  • Develops and maintains management reports for senior leadership and medical staff as needed.
  • Evaluates the outpatient program on an ongoing basis and ensures all aspects meets regulatory compliance standards.
  • Hires, evaluates, counsels, develops and administratively manages the department.
  • Responsible for all UR related items including but not limited to authorizing UR/ reviews.
  • Partner with Business Development to market all Out Patient programs.
