Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Director of Operations at the Legends Global/Salt Palace Convention Center. Under the guidance of the Assistant General Manager and General Manager, the Director of Operations is responsible for managing multiple departments including event set-up, housekeeping, engineering, specialty crafts, OSHA safety and electrical for the facility. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Assist the Assistant General Manager in assigned administrative responsibilities, including department budgetary issues. Responsible for the general operation and maintenance of the facility. Create and implement facility and departmental policies, rules and regulations. Develop staffing needs and produce work schedules based on event requirements. Ensure that all OSHA and Worker Compensation rules and regulations are observed and enforced. Assign tasks and duties to management and staff personnel as required. Oversee and implement capital improvement and expansion projects. Act as key liaison between facility management and other departments. Assist in the development and administration of departmental and facility budgets. Interact with other directors and department managers in the formulation and implementation of policies and procedures. Approve requisitions for department expenses. Develop work in motion studies to enhance labor efficiency. Is a team member of the accident investigation and documentation team. All other duties as assigned
