About The Position

The Director of Operations maximizes the performance of Buena Vista Health and Recovery through directing the operations of Admissions, Finance, Sale/Marketing, Business Development and Strategic Growth. As a key member of the senior management team, the Director of Operations is responsible for Buena Vista’s efficiency of business and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Director of Operations is responsible for the overall functionality of the business and to drive extensive and sustainable growth.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience working in Behavioral Health/ Addictions field
  • A working knowledge of behavioral health management practices and clinical operations
  • Advanced knowledge of state and federal regulatory and various accreditation requirements related to behavioral health management
  • Prior experience managing personnel who oversee Behavioral Health programs and processes
  • Leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
  • Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues
  • A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
  • Be able to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the CEO in setting and driving the organizational vision and operational strategy
  • Translates strategy into actionale goals for performand and growth helping to implement organization wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating plan
  • Oversees Marketing/Sales, Business Development, Finance, Alumni Program, Outpatient Growth and Admissions and holds these business units accountable for their plans to enhance productivity, compliance, and profitability
  • Supports and manages operational growth and needs with program expansion
  • Oversees project management that leverages efficiencies and growth in company and market
  • Partners with Executive Directors in coordination and integration of efforts around Operations
  • Adheres to company, federal, state, and local business requirements, enforcing compliance and taking action when necessary
  • Participates in the company’s corporate organizational meeting structures and reporting processes
  • Analyzes internal operations and identify areas of process enhancement
  • Develops actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short term and long term objectives developed in tandem with the CEO
  • Complete evaluations and competencies of direct reports and feedback to improve performance
  • Monitors performance with tracking and establish corrective measures as needed, and prepares detailed reports, both current and forecasting
  • Maintains and builds trusted relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Monitors the competitive landscape and attends industry events to stay abreast of new initiatives
  • Identifies, trains, and develop leaders within the company
