About The Position

Under the supervision of the Vice President of Operations and Development, or their designee, they will ensure the integration of services for individuals and supervision of residential staff. Be familiar with policies and procedures. Ensure individuals' rights are protected and supervise the implementation of program plans as recommended by the interdisciplinary team. Assist in implementing strategic plans. Set up policies, goals, objectives, and procedures for day-to-day program functioning. Assist the organization's financial and budgetary activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; master's preferred.
  • Possesses a minimum of 10-15 years’ experience working with the developmentally disabled, with 5 years’ work experience in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer knowledge in all Microsoft Suite applications and a willingness to learn and utilize new electronic systems; access to a computer
  • Valid NJ State Driver’s License required with the ability to travel
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and readily available for all program needs.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, designs, organizes, directs, supervises, and monitors all aspects of EIHAB’s programs and quality assurance department within his/her responsibility and ensures that all these programs are fully and consistently in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Establishes and consistently and effectively works toward annual goals and objectives for the maintenance, growth, development, and performance improvement of all of EIHAB’s programs/department within her/his responsibility
  • Plans, Designs, Organizes, Directs, Supervises, and directly Monitors the provision of creative and effective programs, services, and strategies that are (a) based upon the integration of state-of-the-art knowledge and models regarding the care, education, and treatment of EIHAB’s clientele with EIHAB’s mission and core values, and (b) are responsive to the fact that many of EIHAB’s clients have not succeeded in other traditional educational, treatment, and social settings prior to their admission to EIHAB Human Services. Ensures that EIHAB maintains a range of services and programs that are designed to meet the needs of a broad spectrum of clients who are referred and admitted to EIHAB primarily for family, social, mental health treatment, and behavioral reasons.
  • Supervise employee relations issues and discuss recommendations with supervisor and Human Resources
  • Ensure that all of EIHAB’s residential and day programs as well as the quality assurance department in his/her responsibility are fully integrated into the EIHAB’s Performance Improvement Program by: (a) ensuring that they are consistently and effectively represented in all performance improvement committees and processes, (b) assessing the effectiveness of the performance of all of the programs and assigned department, and identifying opportunities and priorities to improve that performance, (c) establishing program and department specific performance improvement goals and objectives, (d) collecting data and utilizing information regarding the performance of programs/department in her/his responsibility in order to assess performance and performance improvement, (f) regularly reporting to supervisor performance assessments and progress.
  • Analyze and evaluate the feasibility of strategic plans in terms of budgetary requirements, logistics, and manpower as it relates to the programs. Determine goals, funds, and resources to be allocated, respectively.
  • Confers with other members of EIHAB’s departments/management team and staff, EIHAB’s clients, referring agencies, and parents concerning the strengths and weaknesses of EIHAB’s programs and services.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with other public and private organizations to enhance the services available to EIHAB’s clients.
  • Requisitions and allocates supplies, equipment, and instructional material as needed.
  • Represents EIHAB at public meetings and events as needed.
  • Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in all programs providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these programs. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems after approval from a supervisor.
  • Provides daily/weekly updates to supervisor as needed
  • Submit a thorough review of all programs on a monthly basis showing compliance with DDD and other related state and local regulations
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
