About The Position

The Director of Operations will be responsible for maximizing fleet operations of our managed and charter aircraft in accordance with FAR Part 135 and 91 operations. In addition to serving as the primary point of contact with the FAA Certificate Holding District Office, you will be responsible for ensuing safe and efficient operations in conjunction with our flight crew members, flight coordinators, client services and maintenance departments. This is a flying role, successful candidates must be able to perform the duties of a Part 135 Pilot-in-Command engaged in international operations.

Requirements

  • Meet requirements of 14 CFR 119.69(a)(1)(2)
  • Extensive experience in FAA certificate application process
  • Knowledge and experience with FAA regulations pertaining to personal and corporate aircraft
  • Knowledge and experience with US customs entry/exit procedures as well as the international handling
  • Leadership experience with a focus on internal talent development
  • Must have a technical knowledge background-operate email, computer systems
  • Ability to pass criminal history records check, airport badging requirements and pre-employment drug screening
  • Must hold a valid FAA Airline Transport Pilot license and first class medical
  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, Business, or related field
  • Must possess a valid US driver’s license and passport
  • U.S. work authorization is a precondition of employment. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S, both now and at all future times. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Responsibilities

  • All duties and responsibilities of the Director of Operations under FAR Part 119.
  • Maintain and update as needed the General Operations Manual (GOM) and FAA Operations Specifications.
  • Coordinate with the FAA for all required recurrent audits and inspections.
  • Ensuring compliance with FAA requirements including pilot duty rest requirements and operational control.
  • Oversee safety and training efforts for pilots, flight crew, and flight coordinators.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance department regarding fleet maintenance and ensuring compliance with all applicable FARs.
  • Partnering with, client services, charter sales, flight operations, scheduling, and business development efforts
  • Resolving problems and conflicts affecting business operations and staff performance.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership
