About The Position

Unica Enterprises is a rapidly growing, privately owned facilities services company based in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas, TX, specializing in janitorial, maintenance, and logistics support services for municipal, commercial, and federal clients. With operations across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and expansion into new regions, we are seeking a Director of Operations to lead and scale our field operations across multiple markets. This is a key leadership role for an experienced operator who has managed large, complex portfolios and is ready to step into a high-impact position within a fast-growing, entrepreneurial company. Position Overview The Director of Operations will oversee all day-to-day operations across our accounts, including large-scale, 24/7 facilities such as airports, convention centers, federal military bases, and municipal buildings. This individual will be responsible for ensuring consistent service delivery, managing field leadership, and executing successful mobilization of new contracts. This role reports directly to executive leadership and will have direct oversight of Area Managers and site-level leadership across all regions. Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in janitorial, facilities services, or related field
  • Proven experience managing multi-site operations ($15M+ portfolio preferred)
  • Experience in direct oversight of Area Managers or equivalent multi-site leadership roles
  • Experience in 24/7, high-traffic environments (airports, convention centers, or similar)
  • Strong background in labor management, staffing models, and cost control
  • Demonstrated success in mobilizing new contracts or scaling operations
  • Experience in both large, process-driven organizations AND smaller or mid-sized companies
  • Ability to operate effectively in a lean environment without extensive corporate support infrastructure
  • Candidates must undergo a rigorous federal background check and receive E-Verify approval before hire.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operations across multiple regions, including DFW and out-of-state accounts
  • Directly manage and develop Area Managers, Site Managers, and supervisory staff
  • Establish accountability and performance expectations across all levels of field leadership
  • Ensure consistent execution of service standards across all locations
  • Own labor performance, staffing efficiency, and cost control across all accounts
  • Monitor KPIs, including quality scores, staffing levels, overtime, and client satisfaction
  • Drive operational improvements to protect and enhance contract margins
  • Implement and enforce standardized operating procedures across all sites
  • Ensure consistent use of inspection and quality control systems
  • Develop scalable staffing models and training programs
  • Lead start-up and transition of new contracts, including staffing, training, and deployment
  • Partner with executive leadership on operational planning for new business opportunities
  • Build infrastructure to support continued multi-region growth
  • Maintain strong relationships with key clients
  • Ensure contract compliance and service delivery expectations are consistently met
  • Proactively address issues before escalation
