About The Position

This role provides leadership, guidance, direction, and accountability for the performance, regulatory readiness, and operational results of large, strategic/diverse disciplines, cross-functional teams, or departments/services over a large functional domain or multiple domains within Trinity Health. The Director will advise and lead RHM and Market/Ministry leaders in strategy development and goal achievement, enable collaboration across System Services, Service Areas, RHM, and Regions, and guide, train, mentor, and monitor colleagues while contributing to the development and implementation of strategic plans. The position also involves providing leadership for growth opportunities including Merger & Acquisitions (M&A), leading standardization and optimization of policy, process, and methodology, and overseeing vendor/contract labor management. The Director collaborates in system-wide strategy development and deployment of functional area priorities, supports regional compliance, and is accountable for the selection, evaluation, and overall success of functional leadership teams. This role serves as an organization-wide focal point for establishing functional strategies and governance over financials and staffing, ensuring communication between System Services, Service Area function, RHM, and Markets leaders. Operational delivery responsibilities include measuring and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), implementing financial and operational strategies, and providing leadership for the colleague life cycle, all while maintaining adherence to applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations, and Trinity Health's Integrity & Compliance Program and Code of Conduct. The Director will enable system and region-level strategy to address internal or external business and regulatory issues, provide functional expertise, and ensure fulfillment of performance and service standards. This position identifies, defines, and solves complex problems impacting business management and direction, collaborates for consistency and integration of strategy and operations, and provides decision support, operations, and/or optimization leadership. The Director has responsibility for making decisions and managing risk that impact day-to-day regional, service area, or health ministry functional operations with potential for short- to mid-term impact on the enterprise as a whole. This role may oversee direct staff that includes leaders with direct reports or oversee large/complex programs without direct reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Seven (7) years’ experience in healthcare with progressively increasing leadership & responsibility.
  • Valid driver’s license where required by assignment.

  • Master’s degree Business Administration (MBA) or Healthcare Administration (MHA); equivalent experience considered.
