Brook Lane Health Services is a leading behavioral healthcare organization dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health and addiction treatment across the lifespan. We are currently seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to provide strategic and operational leadership for nursing services at our Brook Lane campus. Essential Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing practice, ensuring compliance with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in psychiatric care Direct, coach, and develop nursing leadership and staff to promote accountability, professional growth, and clinical excellence Ensure effective coordination of inpatient psychiatric nursing services across the continuum of care Lead quality improvement, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives Collaborate with medical staff, executive leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to advance clinical outcomes and service delivery Manage departmental budgets, staffing models, and resource utilization Foster a culture of open communication, ethical practice, and patient- and family-centered care Serve as a nursing liaison to organizational committees and external partners as needed Required Qualifications Education Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required Master’s degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing, or its equivalent, from a school of nursing accredited by the National League for Nursing is preferred Incumbents will be required to obtain a Master’s degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing, or its equivalent, within four (4) years of hire Experience Five (5) years of supervisory experience in a progressively responsible healthcare environment Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an inpatient psychiatric healthcare setting Licensure Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland or eligibility for Maryland licensure Skills & Competencies Strong leadership, communication, and change-management skills Demonstrated expertise in psychiatric nursing practice and operations Experience with quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and performance management Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse clinical and administrative teams Why Join Brook Lane Mission-driven organization specializing in behavioral health Opportunity to lead and shape nursing practice in a respected inpatient psychiatric setting Collaborative leadership environment focused on quality, safety, and compassionate care Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package Caring for Our Team We offer a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees' well-being and professional growth.
