About The Position

Performs general cleaning and sanitization duties as well as terminal cleaning/sterilization of areas within the medical center and affiliated areas in order to maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, healthy and attractive environment for patients, visitors, and facility staff. This staff position will have constant interaction with Meritus staff, visitors and patients, providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Must possess the physical ability to perform heavy duty cleaning including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work from step ladders to reach high areas for cleaning and dusting.
• Physical ability to move loaded trash or laundry trucks/carts, patient beds and other equipment.
• Good customer service and communication skills required.
• Must be able to read, comprehend and follow specific instructions to complete tasks as assigned.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year cleaning team/housekeeping experience preferred.
