About The Position

Director of Nursing  – FULL TIME – TUES thru SAT 9-5 – NO OVERNIGHTS – NO HOLIDAYS

Director of Nursing sought for Cherry Hill Women’s Center, a state licensed ambulatory surgical center that has delivered excellence in abortion and reproductive healthcare for over 45 years, always at the forefront of best practices in our field. Our team members are committed to advocating and caring for people seeking legal, safe, compassionate and respectful abortion care through 28 weeks of pregnancy, in addition to assistance for adoption services and prenatal care.

Our team welcomes empathetic, committed, experienced Nurse Practitioners with a strong work ethic, sense of humor and a desire to be a part of a team. The right candidates want to make a difference in the community, work with a diverse patient population, can multi-task and appreciate being challenged by a fast-paced work environment. Candidates with IV insertion experience and fluently bilingual preferred. Prior supervision and management experience preferred.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills
• Excellent patient care skills
• Intermediate computer skills (EHR experience preferred)
• Ability to lift 75 pounds unassisted
• Active NJ RN license
• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
• Holds high standards, attention to detail and a commitment to CHWC’s mission and core values
• The talents to lead a team with respect and a sense of humor

Nice To Haves

• Active New Jersey APRN license
• 2+ years of NP clinical experience (prior experience as an RN will also be considered if applicable)
• Candidates with IV insertion experience and fluently bilingual preferred.
• Prior supervision and management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports clinical oversight of the nursing and medical staff.
• Provide direct patient care and staff support as needed:
• Pre-procedure medical assessment
• Recovery Room nursing
• Participating in training of student nurses
• Play lead role in complex clinical situations
• Assists in orientation and training programs for new employees.
• Assists in creation and upkeep of policies and procedures that govern clinical services
