This role ensures high standards of clinical care, regulatory compliance, staff engagement, and quality improvement while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and compassion.
Requirements
- RN
- Previous Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred
- Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, survey process, and quality measures
- Proven leadership, team-building, and communication skills
- Commitment to resident-centered care and staff engagement
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for all nursing services
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including DOH and CMS standards
- Monitor and improve quality measures, clinical outcomes, and survey readiness
- Recruit, mentor, and retain nursing staff to build a strong, stable team
- Collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to enhance resident care and satisfaction
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and budget management for nursing services
- Promote a culture of safety, infection prevention, and continuous improvement
