Requirements

  • RN
  • Previous Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred
  • Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, survey process, and quality measures
  • Proven leadership, team-building, and communication skills
  • Commitment to resident-centered care and staff engagement

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for all nursing services
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including DOH and CMS standards
  • Monitor and improve quality measures, clinical outcomes, and survey readiness
  • Recruit, mentor, and retain nursing staff to build a strong, stable team
  • Collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to enhance resident care and satisfaction
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and budget management for nursing services
  • Promote a culture of safety, infection prevention, and continuous improvement
