We’re seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team in delivering exceptional short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care. Requirements

  • Active RN license (in good standing)
  • Prior leadership experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and survey processes
  • Exceptional communication and team-building skills
  • Proven ability to improve quality metrics and clinical systems
  • Passion for resident-centered care

Responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise all nursing services within the facility
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations
  • Maintain readiness for surveys and audits
  • Implement evidence-based practices to improve clinical outcomes
  • Recruit, mentor, and retain top nursing talent
  • Develop nurse managers and charge nurses into strong leaders
  • Foster engagement, collaboration, and professional growth

  • Monitor quality indicators and implement performance improvement plans
  • Lead infection prevention and control initiatives
  • Review incident reports and implement corrective action strategies
  • Drive initiatives to reduce rehospitalizations and improve resident satisfaction

  • Oversee nursing budgets and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with therapy, social services, and medical providers
