About The Position
Gainesville Health & Rehab Center is seeking a dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to join their team of compassionate caregivers. This is a full-time, day shift position. The center is Virginia owned and operated. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for developing and maintaining nursing service goals and standards, participating in nursing department staffing, collaborating with the Administrator and Center leadership to meet goals, and coordinating nursing services with other departments. The role emphasizes providing peace of mind to patients, residents, families, and staff, and delivering exceptional patient and employee experiences within a safe environment.
Requirements
- Current RN license in good standing with the Virginia Department of Health Professions
- Current CPR Certification
- Five years’ experience in a nursing leadership role

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain nursing service goals and standards of practice
- Participate in nursing department staffing (recruit, select, assign, orient, in-service, supervise, evaluate, retain, terminate)
- Collaborate with the Administrator and Center leadership to meet Center goals
- Coordinates nursing services with other services such as medical, rehabilitation, social services, and activities
- Administer and evaluate all nursing service programs to maintain standards of patient care
