For more information visit www.westanaheimmedctr.com. Director of Cardiovascular Lab directs the activities of the Cardiovascular Laboratory Services. Administers, plans, directs and evaluates the activities of the Cardiovascular Laboratory employees to ensure quality patient care. Develops goals, policies and procedures. Oversees, along with the Medical Director, the activities of the Cardiovascular Receiving Center (CVRC) as the CVRC Coordinator in cooperation with Orange County Emergency Medical Services. Participates in performance improvement activities.

Requirements

  • Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)-(AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary.
  • Five (5) years of Coronary Care Nursing and/or the Cardiovascular Lab.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Proficient in interpreting EKGs and hemodynamic pressure tracings.
  • Operates Cardiovascular Laboratory equipment; pressure injectors, hemodynamic monitor, cardiac output computer, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), preferred.
