Director of Model Management
About The Position
Oversees BMO's centralized investment models (multi-asset, equity, etc.), alongside the necessary investment/portfolio strategy development and communications. Manages equity separately managed accounts (SMAs) and multi-asset models (trade implementation, rebalancing, etc.) Oversees risk/performance reporting Authors model positioning and performance commentary Coordinates between Investment Strategy - Portfolio Strategist and Investment Strategist teams on investment strategy and portfolio analysis Member of working groups tasked with multi-asset portfolio positioning (Capital Market Assumptions Working Group, Asset Allocation Working Group, Support Portfolio Working Group and Investment Strategy Implementation Working Group).
Requirements
- Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge - specifically, 10+ years of model management experience with a 4-year college degree (MBA welcomed, not required)
- CFA mandatory (CAIA/other accreditations welcomed, not required)
- Strong investment, quantitative and portfolio management acumen
- Process-oriented, showing strong attention to detail
- Bloomberg/FactSet/Morningstar knowledge/experience
- Microsoft productivity-tool proficiency
- Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth / Expert
- Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth / Expert
- Collaboration & team skills - In-depth / Expert
- Data-driven decision making - In-depth / Expert
