Requirements

  • Passion for Nursing Leadership
  • 5+ Years Clinical RN experience in Acute Care required
  • 2-3+ Years Nursing Leadership/Management experience required
  • Regulatory Experience
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing is required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree is required
  • New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Nursing Specialty Certifications Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Represent the Medical Surgical, Specialty Care Clinic, and Wound Care Departments at both the Hospital and System level as required
  • Manage the daily operations of the nursing units
  • Ensure the departments function according to established regulatory authorities, and will collaborate with other department heads to identify and solve problems in the best interest of patient treatment
  • Mentor, supervise, and evaluate the team to reach their full potential and inspire continual professional growth
  • Participate in managing budgets, resource allocation, and scheduling
  • Regularly assess unit operations and identify process improvements to enhance the patient experience
