About The Position

This is a part time position of 8 hours in medical records, and 16 hour community liasion more hours available if desired by picking up various shifts as a charge nurse. This position may require rotating weekends required (Saturday and Sunday 2pm to 10pm). This position requires an on call rotation. As a Director of medical Records LPN, you will plan, develop, and administer a health information system for healthcare facility consistent with standards and requirements of accrediting and regulatory agencies. Develop and implement policies and procedures for documenting, storing and retrieving information and processing medical legal documents, insurance data, and correspondence request, in accordance with federal, state and local statutes. You will also supervise staff, directly or through subordinates in preparing and analyzing medical documents. Participate in development and design of computer software for computerized health information systems. Coordinate medical care evaluation with medical staff and develop criteria and methods for such evaluation. Develop in-service educational materials and conduct instructional programs for healthcare personnel. Analyze patient data for reimbursement, facility planning, quality of patient care, risk management, utilization management. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (LPN) with current state license

Responsibilities
