Director of Materials
About The Position
If you are a MATERIALS professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Sidney, OH or St. Louis, MO locations, you will provide materials leadership to our Americas HVACR Integrated Supply Chain network. You will lead a team of professionals to help deploy effective, standardized material and production management systems across multiple sites. This role ensures operational excellence, drives efficiency, and maintains high service levels for customers while aligning with corporate objectives. Your duties and responsibilities will be completed under the general guidance of the VP of Integrated Supply Chain
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- minimum of ten (10) years of progressive related experience, including leadership, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and professional presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively with various levels of the organization
- Exceptional customer service focus, including attention to producing quality results
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and on a team
- Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this role
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement systems to assure world class on-time delivery at optimal inventory levels
- Implement best practices / fulfillment models and process improvements to enhance service delivery and operational productivity
- Work with center-led supply chain team to maintain master data parameters in IT systems such as ERP, supplier portals, and warehouse management
- Manage and develop relationships with suppliers and customers
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards
- Support the VP in long-term strategic planning and expansion initiatives
