About The Position

Black Diamond Coatings, Inc. (BDC Brands) is looking for a Director of Marketing to join our growing team in Brooksville, FL. The Director of Marketing is a strategic and execution-driven leader responsible for elevating the DOMINATOR®, AQUA-X®, and OBSESS® brands. This role blends bold marketing creativity with sharp analytical planning to grow brand awareness, differentiate product offerings, and drive sales across digital, retail, and distribution channels.  The ideal candidate has a strong background in product-based marketing — not services — and thrives in highly competitive markets. They’ve succeeded in entrepreneurial or mid-size environments where agility, speed, and cross-functional hustle matter more than layers of corporate process.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy and execution of initiatives that drive consumer demand and brand recall — with a clear goal of making our brands household names in their categories.
  • Position BDC’s products against competitors with differentiated messaging and storytelling.
  • Champion consistency in brand voice, visuals, and values across all platforms.
  • Lead go-to-market strategy for new products, including naming, messaging, packaging, launch planning, and sales enablement.
  • Partner with the Sales team to ensure alignment with seasonal cycles and customer feedback.
  • Create high-impact product content that communicates value and drives conversions.
  • Own performance on Amazon, Shopify, and other online platforms.
  • Drive traffic and revenue through data-informed paid media strategies (Google, Meta, Amazon Ads).
  • Constantly test, analyze, and improve campaigns to increase ROI and lower CAC.
  • Concept and produce memorable, conversion-focused campaigns that stand out in a crowded space.
  • Roll up your sleeves to write copy, direct creative, and test messaging across channels.
  • Use non-traditional and guerrilla tactics where appropriate to capture attention.
  • Define and track KPIs for awareness, conversion, engagement, and marketing ROI.
  • Use tools like Google Analytics, Helium 10, HubSpot, and Shopify to inform decisions.
  • Continuously optimize spend and focus based on performance insights.
  • Lead a small but mighty team of marketers and freelancers.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Operations for aligned execution.
  • Maintain urgency, ownership, and accountability across projects.
