About The Position

Midland Care Connection Midland Care Connection is a not-for-profit, community-based organization dedicated to helping older adults and seriously ill individuals stay independent and supported in their homes. Established in 1978, we offer a full continuum of care, including hospice, palliative care, home health, grief and loss counseling, and our signature PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program. Our mission centers on "meeting individual needs through innovative care solutions," and we serve people across multiple counties in northeast Kansas. Visiting Nurse Association Specializes in home hospice that provides compassionate, end-of-life care to patients in the comfort of their own homes. Their skilled nurses focus on managing pain and symptoms, supporting emotional and spiritual needs, and guiding both patients and families through the hospice journey. Working closely with an interdisciplinary team, the VNA ensures dignity, comfort, and quality of life during a patient’s final days while offering education, resources, and respite support to caregivers. Marketing Director Responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies that raise awareness of the organization’s services, particularly its hospice programs, and drive growth in referrals and revenue. This role provides leadership and supervision to marketing staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and fostering team engagement. The director ensures all materials and communications reflect the VNA KC brand accurately, collaborates with clinical departments to create professional and engaging patient/caregiver information, and represents the organization effectively to the public, healthcare professionals, and community partners. Additionally, the Marketing Director manages departmental budgets, identifies efficiencies, monitors outreach effectiveness, reports on progress to senior leadership, and participates in leadership councils and committees to align marketing strategies with organizational goals. Hours Full Time | Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Requirements

  • Experience in marketing, communications, or related field
  • Leadership or supervisory experience, including managing staff performance
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop and implement marketing and communication strategies
  • Budget management and financial oversight skills
  • Proficiency with technology and organizational software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, hospice, or nonprofit marketing
  • Experience creating patient or caregiver-focused educational materials
  • Knowledge of branding and marketing best practices
  • Experience with digital marketing, social media, and outreach campaigns
  • Skills in process improvement and identifying cost efficiencies
  • Advanced education or certifications in marketing, communications, or management
