About The Position

WRJ Design is seeking an accomplished Director of Marketing to lead the firm’s brand strategy, elevate its national presence, and directly support business growth. This is a senior leadership role with strategic scope — but it is not a purely conceptual position. WRJ is a high-performance, design-driven studio, and this role requires a leader who is equally comfortable shaping long-term brand vision and executing with precision. The successful candidate will move seamlessly between high-level positioning and hands-on implementation: directing photoshoots, refining messaging, shaping proposals, overseeing PR and advertising strategy, guiding social media content, and ensuring every client-facing touchpoint reflects the firm’s luxury standards. This position is based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. In-person presence is required to fully engage with the leadership team, design staff, and the experiential elements of the brand. Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience.
  • Background in luxury design, architecture, real estate, or professional services strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success balancing strategic direction with direct execution.
  • Strong experience supporting executive visibility and business development.
  • Exceptional creative judgment, communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Must reside in, relocate to, or live in a commutable distance to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
  • Ability to travel domestically (approximately 30–35%).
  • Comfortable representing the firm publicly and at industry events.
  • Willingness to work outside traditional business hours when launches or key initiatives require.

Responsibilities

  • Set annual and quarterly marketing priorities, budgets, and measurable goals in partnership with Leadership.
  • Lead PR, advertising, digital, and brand strategy — while actively overseeing execution.
  • Direct 3+ major photoshoots annually, including storytelling strategy, styling oversight, budgeting, and asset management.
  • Oversee website evolution, editorial strategy, and media placements.
  • Guide industry award submissions and principal speaking engagements.
  • Ensure seamless campaign integration across PR, advertising, events, and social channels.
  • Expand WRJ’s presence beyond the Mountain West through thoughtful storytelling and media partnerships.
  • Cultivate relationships with leading publishers, PR firms, and brand collaborators.
  • Maintain and elevate brand standards across all client-facing and internal materials.
  • Partner closely with Principals, COO, and New Business to refine pursuit strategy and presentation materials.
  • Oversee the development of portfolio assets and branded collateral.
  • Collaborate with Operations to enhance experiential brand moments, events, and hospitality standards.
  • Lead and develop the Marketing Manager and oversee contracted brand partners.
  • Establish clear workflows, accountability, and planning rhythms.
  • Manage budgets and marketing forecasting in partnership with Finance.
