The Director of Marketing & Customer Acquisition will lead the development and execution of the company’s integrated marketing strategy to drive customer acquisition, brand growth, and overall business performance. This leader will manage external agencies, contractors, and internal resources to ensure consistent execution across digital, web, and traditional channels. This role is ideal for a strategic, data-driven marketing leader who thrives in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment and understands how to combine creative messaging with measurable business results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • 8–10 years of progressive experience in digital marketing, customer acquisition, and brand leadership.
  • Proven track record driving paid media performance and managing multi-channel acquisition.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, analytics platforms, attribution, and conversion tracking.
  • Experience managing agencies and significant marketing budgets.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical skills, and project management.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.

  • Experience in consumer services, membership/subscription models, multi-location, or recurring revenue businesses preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives and brand vision.
  • Translate company goals into actionable, multi-channel marketing plans that increase customer acquisition and retention.
  • Serve as a cross-functional leader collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Finance to align initiatives and maximize ROAS.
  • Build and manage annual marketing budgets, forecasts, and performance goals.
  • Oversee all digital marketing efforts, including SEM, paid social, display, video, and emerging channels.
  • Lead strategy and optimization for Google Ads, Bing Ads, LSAs, and aggregator partners.
  • Direct SEO strategy and local search optimization to enhance organic visibility.
  • Test and refine campaigns, messaging, and landing pages to improve CPL, conversion, and ROAS.
  • Stay informed on digital trends, tools, and performance marketing innovations.
  • Manage the website and digital ecosystem to ensure strong UX and high conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with design, content, and development partners on site enhancements.
  • Oversee tracking, analytics, and attribution to measure campaign impact.
  • Drive continuous improvements through experimentation, A/B testing, and data-driven adjustments.
  • Oversee brand communications across digital, print, field, and local marketing channels.
  • Manage creative development, messaging architecture, and content production.
  • Build marketing materials, campaigns, and promotions to strengthen brand presence.
  • Support PR, local events, and community marketing to expand awareness.
  • Oversee online listings (Google Business Profiles, Yelp, Bing Places, etc.) to maintain accuracy and search visibility.
  • Build review-generation programs across markets to improve online reputation.
  • Monitor customer sentiment and collaborate with CX and Operations to improve services.
  • Manage tools and automation that streamline listing and review management.
  • Lead external agency relationships with a focus on accountability and performance.
  • Oversee SOWs, deliverables, timelines, and partner alignment.
  • Evaluate opportunities to balance internal vs. outsourced capabilities.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and growth opportunities to team members.
  • Build internal capabilities over time as the company scales.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure marketing insights guide business decisions.
