About The Position

The Director of Marketing and Communications reports to the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Marketing and serves as the University’s chief marketing strategist and communications leader. The role provides vision and hands-on leadership for institutional marketing and communications, ensuring a cohesive brand identity, effective storytelling, and strong engagement across digital and print channels. The Director advances the University’s mission by strengthening institutional reputation and supporting enrollment and advancement goals. Success in this role requires a collaborative, innovative leader with strong strategic planning, communication, and project‑management abilities, and a clear understanding of Christ-centered higher education.

  • Self-directed, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
  • Holds a bachelor’s degree (required), preferably in marketing, business administration, organizational management, communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • Offers management-level experience leading teams in marketing, communications, brand strategy, or related fields, ideally within the higher‑education sector.
  • Has prior leadership experience developing and executing marketing strategies for diverse higher‑education audiences, including traditional undergraduate, graduate, and non-traditional learners.
  • Demonstrates a history of meeting performance goals and delivering measurable outcomes in previous roles.

Nice To Haves

  • Possesses a clear understanding of the distinctives, values, and operating contexts of Christian higher education (preferred).
  • Brings experience within higher‑education administration (preferred), particularly in roles requiring cross-functional collaboration and communication.
