The Director of Maintenance (DOM) is responsible for the continued Airworthiness of the FlightWorks fleet. The DOM will develop, implement, and execute policies and procedures that: help ensure dispatch reliability, promote client/customer satisfaction through quality maintenance provided at reasonable prices, build a dedicated and cohesive maintenance team, and ensure the timely flow of accurate maintenance related information throughout the company. The DOM will act as the primary interface with the FAA Airworthiness and Avionics Inspectors and is responsible for ensuring that all FAA regulations and standards are met or exceeded. The DOM will maintain a high level of communication, coordination, and dynamic interchange in support of the FlightWorks and FAA relationship. The DOM has direct oversight of the supervisors, inspectors and technicians in the Technical Services department and is responsible for ensuring that the highest levels of quality, safety and professionalism are always observed. Ensure that FlightWorks fleet aircraft meets or exceed FAA, company, and industry standards for regulatory compliance, airworthiness, safety, presentation, and reliability Manage the Technical Services Department to ensure that programs and projects are accomplished within client and FlightWorks approved budgets, on time, and in compliance with established company procedures. Select, develop, motivate, appraise, and review key Technical Services staff subordinates to ensure the continued quality and dependability of their work. Insure Technical Services staff has the depth and flexibility to react to short-notice assignments and company needs. Develop long-range maintenance programs for the purpose of improving efficiency and safety. Ensure that maintenance programs and projects are implemented in an efficient, timely manner and within established budgets. Ensure the competence and expertise of all Technical Services personnel to provide the continuing maintenance of the aircraft necessary to achieve the highest level of safety in maintenance and operations. Coordinate maintenance decisions, inspections, and actions with Operations, Sales, Government Services, and other departments concerned with meeting scheduled goals. Perform monthly, weekly, and daily maintenance planning in an orderly, timely, and efficient manner so as to ensure maximum safety, efficient utilization of personnel, minimum disruption of aircraft schedules, and maximum aircraft availability. Produce budgets and estimates for client review to assist with maintenance cost and downtime planning. Develop, maintain, and modify FlightWorks specific maintenance documentation such as General Maintenance Manual, Minimum Equipment Lists, Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System program manual, RVSM Maintenance Program, Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program, Maintenance Training Program, and Conformity Inspection Program. Ensure all manufacturer specific technical publications are appropriately updated and revised. Audit outside / contract maintenance providers and suppliers to ensure they are properly trained, qualified, and capable of performing work that meets or exceeds FlightWorks, FAA, and industry standards. Responsible to identify, evaluate, and implement mandates from external sources, such as original equipment manufacturers and regulatory agencies, etc. Responsible for complying with these mandates when performing their assigned duties. Supervise maintenance performed by outside agencies to ensure the quality of the work, timeliness, and compliance with FlightWorks standards. Conduct regular staff meetings, as required by current policy. The DOM will be held accountable for safety, security, and quality standards. Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
