Responsible for all aircraft and component maintenance performed at the Aircraft Operations Center (AOC) Repair Station in Fort Worth, Texas. Delegates appropriate levels of authority as necessary to ensure achievement of all contractual requirements on time and within budget. Inform and discuss aircraft and component maintenance issues at Part 145 Certified Repair Station (CRS) with the Aircraft Maintenance Manager, quality control department and maintenance staff, and customer representatives. Ensures compliance with procedures and practices required to maintain FAA Repair Station Certificate and support the company quality management system. Supports production meetings with maintenance staff and DEA Aviation Division (OA) management. Ensures maintenance actions performed at the CRS are in accordance with specific guidance presented in aircraft, component and system maintenance manuals, the Repair Station Quality Manual (RSQM), and other technical publications. Supports efforts to compile and analyze aircraft fleet maintenance data that benefits the customer and supports the OA Safety Management System (SMS) Program. Directs Repair Station maintenance activities to minimize aircraft maintenance related delays, problems, or issues. Take steps to prevent or correct disruptions caused by personnel shortages, failure of machinery, tools, materials or schedule changes. Ensures Repair Station maintenance department personnel comply with all regulatory, contractural, and company requirements, and training/ethics programs. Responsible for the on-going development, review, and revision of procedures and instructions pertinent to aircraft maintenance operations at the Repair Station. Recommends Program level policies, procedures, and/or contract modifications to help improve program efficiencies. Works with the Chief Inspector and Quality Control Manager as necessary to resolve any conflicts, discrepancies, or omissions related to technical guidance. Establishes performance objectives or goals for the CRS and assesses progress towards achievement. Explores opportunities for improvement and effects changes to optimize CRS operations. Hires, develops goals and objectives, monitors and evaluates performance, and writes performance reviews for direct reports. Coordinates with the Off-Site Supervisor to provide qualified mechanics and technicians in support of operations, training, and aircraft maintenance and/or acceptance performed outside of the AOC. Ensures Repair Station maintenance personnel are properly trained, certified, and comply with approved procedures, methods and practices for each CRS maintenance activity. Ensure all Repair Station shop equipment and tools are serviceable and properly used. Ensures the AOC hangar and adjoining ramp areas are kept in a clean, FOD free, orderly manner and proper waste management is practiced. Ensures Repair Station maintenance personnel observe all safety precautions and properly utilize approved personal protective equipment. Establishes a non-hazardous maintenance work environment at the Repair Station that is conducive to the safety and wellbeing of all employees. Performs other duties as assigned.
