About The Position

The Director of Luxury Sales – Leisure & Corporate is a senior-level, on-property sales leader responsible for driving total room revenue across Luxury Leisure and Corporate FIT segments. This role carries primary responsibility for Luxury Leisure production while maintaining strategic oversight of Corporate Travel revenue, including national account negotiations and RFP management. The successful candidate must possess significant luxury hotel sales experience and demonstrate proven success in generating high-ADR, profitable business within a luxury or upper-upscale hotel environment. This is a full-time, on-property position. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years of hotel sales experience in a luxury or upper-upscale hotel environment, including at least 4+ years focused on luxury leisure sales.
  • Direct ownership and performance accountability for top-tier leisure accounts, including Virtuoso or equivalent luxury consortia networks.
  • Proven success managing multi-million-dollar leisure revenue portfolios, with high ADR and premium room production.
  • Demonstrated experience leading full corporate RFP cycles, including national account negotiations, rate strategy development, and contract management.
  • Proficiency in Lanyon, Demand360, Agency360, INFOR HMS, and Opera.
  • Established and active network within the luxury travel advisor and consortia communities.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills; ability to interpret revenue, market trends, and competitive data to drive strategy.
  • Exceptional leadership presence, presentation, and executive communication skills suitable for representing a five-star lifestyle brand.
  • Candidates without direct hotel sales experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive luxury leisure sales strategy aligned with annual revenue and ADR goals.
  • Maintain direct oversight of top-tier leisure accounts, including preferred partnerships and consortia relationships such as Virtuoso and comparable luxury networks.
  • Cultivate and expand relationships with high-producing travel advisors, international luxury agencies, and high-net-worth clientele.
  • Drive suite, premium room category, and extended stay production with a strong focus on rate integrity and profitability.
  • Negotiate preferred partnership agreements and value-added inclusions aligned with brand positioning.
  • Conduct proactive solicitation efforts including sales calls, site inspections, FAM trips, and participation in key luxury trade shows and sales missions.
  • Review monthly and quarterly account performance to ensure revenue targets and production commitments are met.
  • Partner closely with Revenue Management to optimize leisure demand patterns and pricing strategy.
  • Develop and manage a targeted portfolio of corporate FIT accounts aligned with the Equinox brand.
  • Lead the corporate RFP process, including management of platforms such as Lanyon and similar systems.
  • Negotiate rate agreements and production commitments with national and global corporate accounts.
  • Manage relationships with Travel Management Companies (TMCs) and key regional corporate clients.
  • Conduct quarterly production reviews and ensure contract compliance.
  • Identify corporate opportunities that complement leisure demand and strategically support need periods.
  • Utilize advanced market intelligence tools to drive strategy, including Demand360, Agency360, INFOR HMS, Opera, and Hotelligence.
  • Analyze segmentation trends, ADR index performance, booking pace, and competitive positioning.
  • Prepare monthly production reports, forecasts, and strategic action plans.
  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation and detailed account tracking.
  • Ensure seamless turnover of confirmed business to Operations for exceptional execution.
  • Collaborate closely with Reservations, Revenue Management, Front Office, and Marketing teams.
  • Participate actively in weekly revenue meetings and pipeline reviews.
  • Serve as a visible on-property leader and brand ambassador within both luxury leisure and corporate travel communities.
