About The Position

The Director of Leasing is responsible for leading and executing the company’s leasing strategy across a multi-state portfolio. This role oversees leasing performance, occupancy goals, marketing initiatives, and leasing team development to maximize revenue and property performance. The Director of Leasing will collaborate closely with property management, marketing, operations, and executive leadership to drive consistent leasing standards and results across all markets. This position requires regular travel to properties in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and North Carolina to support onsite teams, monitor performance, and ensure company standards are maintained.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of leasing or property management experience, with multi-site or regional leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving occupancy and revenue goals.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to travel regularly across multiple states.
  • Proficiency with property management and CRM software (e.g., AppFolio, Yardi, Entrata, or similar).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement leasing strategies to achieve occupancy and revenue targets across all properties.
  • Monitor leasing metrics including traffic, conversion ratios, occupancy, concessions, and market trends.
  • Identify opportunities to improve leasing performance and implement corrective action plans.
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive surveys to ensure pricing and positioning remain competitive.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor leasing staff and regional teams.
  • Establish leasing standards, processes, and best practices across the portfolio.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and performance management to ensure team success.
  • Partner with HR on hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop campaigns that drive qualified leads.
  • Ensure property listings, digital presence, and brand standards are consistent across markets.
  • Evaluate marketing ROI and recommend improvements.
  • Work closely with property management and maintenance teams to ensure unit readiness and resident experience.
  • Support new property lease-ups, acquisitions, and transitions.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting related to leasing performance.
  • Travel approximately 3–5 times per month to properties located in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and North Carolina.
  • Conduct site visits, audits, and team training.
  • Provide onsite support for lease-ups, staffing changes, or performance improvement initiatives.
