About The Position

The Director of Information Technology (Director of IT) will lead the IT department, overseeing all technology-related strategies and initiatives across the company. This role is crucial for ensuring the alignment of IT with business objectives, enhancing operational efficiencies, and driving digital transformation. The Director of IT will be responsible for managing a diverse team, fostering innovation, and ensuring the secure and efficient operation of all IT systems and infrastructure.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Five years of proven experience in IT leadership role preferred.
Three-five years of experience in a variety of IT disciplines including Microsoft 365/ Microsoft Exchange/Microsoft Dynamics, Windows Active Directory, VMWare ESXi, Networking and security.
Strong background in developing and implementing successful IT strategies.
Strong background in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
Expertise in project management and IT governance.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Strong customer focus and commitment to service excellence.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that supports the company's business goals and objectives.
Collaborate with senior leadership to drive digital transformation initiatives.
Provide strategic direction for IT operations, ensuring scalability and alignment with business growth.
Oversee the management of IT infrastructure, including networks, hardware, software, and telecommunications systems in a wide variety of environments including Manufacturing, Warehousing, Retail locations, and remote/cloud users.
Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of all IT systems: retail data reporting, PCI Compliance and technical consulting for the franchise community.
Lead the implementation of innovative technologies that enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Ensure effective communication within the IT department and with other business units.
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Implement best practices in project management and governance.
Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and maximizing ROI.
Negotiate with vendors and service providers to secure advantageous terms.
Monitor and report on IT financial performance.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., data protection, cybersecurity).
Develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
Develop training materials and train users in the proper use of hardware or software.
Manage IT-related risks, including cybersecurity threats and data breaches.
Provide robust IT support and solutions for the franchise network.
Implement systems and tools that enhance franchise operations and communication.
Ensure franchisees have access to necessary technology resources and support.
Develop, implement, and maintain PCI compliant policies and procedures to ensure the secure handling of payment information, network and user security, and incident response.
Develop, implement, and maintain data privacy and ADA policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Support the team with any other projects or duties required to be completed as needed.
