About The Position

The Intensive Clinical Services division provides community-based, evidence-informed treatment models serving youth and families with complex behavioral health, substance use, and justice-involved needs. Programs include Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT and MDFT-OUD), Intensive In-Home Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services (IICAPS), and Adolescent Sexual Behavior Treatment and Evaluation Program (ASBTEP) are delivered across home, school, and community settings with a focus on reducing risk, improving family functioning, and preventing higher levels of care. The Director of Intensive Clinical Services is responsible for the overall clinical, operational, and fiscal management of assigned programs. This role ensures delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive services across all programs under their direction. The Director provides leadership to Program Managers, ensuring fidelity to treatment models, strong clinical outcomes, and compliance with all regulatory, contractual, and accreditation standards. The Director collaborates with senior leadership on program development, strategic growth, and system integration, while serving as a key liaison with external stakeholders and model developers.

Requirements

  • LCSW, LMFT, LPC or equivalent in related behavioral health field
  • Minimum three years supervisory experience of clinical staff and program management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage contracted programs
  • Experience in working with in-home models, crisis intervention and substance use
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in delivery of intensive behavioral health services
  • Must be able to travel to a variety of settings
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to drive to BGV off –campus sites
  • Ability to be on-call by phone during non-regular working hours
  • Must have access to reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality of services provided in program(s) including CQI indicators, review of program services, program documentation and program observation/supervision
  • Develop policies and procedures in conjunction with supervisor in accordance with contract, licensing and accreditation standards for all identified programs, and ensures program adherence to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Maintains the fiscal integrity of programs through efficient management of agency resources, appropriate program utilization and productivity
  • Ensures the appropriate utilization and staff productivity as per agency and contract benchmarks/goals
  • Ensures services provided adhere to goals of maximizing service coordination and integration across all services client receives including behavioral health, educational, non-traditional and medical services
  • Ensures and monitors QA indicators and participates as required in agency QA program, and with supervisor makes necessary program adjustments based on indicators.
  • Provides an agency wide presence by overseeing agency committees and representing agency at outside meetings.
  • Ensure program implementation of agency HIPAA, compliance, COA and other regulatory requirements necessary for effective program functioning
  • Provides/ensures supervision and training of staff, including performance-based evaluations
  • Identifies possible program risks including clinical, financial or personnel issues to supervisor in a timely fashion
  • Regularly briefs supervisor on the clinical, operational and fiscal variances in programs
  • On call 24/7 to provide support for staff
  • Ensures Risk Management and DCF are notified of any allegations of abuse and/or neglect
  • Completes all necessary reporting to CSSD, DCF or other licensing or regulatory agency as required
  • Supervision of (program managers and coordinators)
  • Provide back-up supervision to front line staff
  • Reviews and approves time off requests for program staff based on program needs and overall coverage.
  • Ensures completion of performance appraisal for evaluation process.
  • Participates in the hiring and termination of employees
