Job Description The Director of Integrated Testing provides strategic leadership for all aspects of quality assurance and testing across Card Technology. This role ensures that complex software components and systems work seamlessly together and meet rigorous quality standards. The Director sets the vision and drives execution for integrated testing, automation, and systems validation, influencing technology strategy and enabling cross-functional alignment at scale. This role will reconstitute and modernize the integrated testing function within the development organization , ensuring backend and frontend systems operate seamlessly together and enabling reliable, high-quality production releases for large-scale, client-facing platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Eight or more years of relevant software engineering experience
  • Five or more years of experience leading a software engineering team

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and own the integrated testing strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise technology objectives and business priorities.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team of software engineers, test engineers, and automation specialists. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Technical Direction: Provide architectural guidance for testing frameworks, automation platforms, and CI/CD integration. Ensure effective testing coverage across modern technologies (Java, Spring Boot, microservices) and legacy environments (mainframe, COBOL, DB2, batch processing). Make strategic decisions to scale testing operations and improve efficiency across systems integration.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build meaningful relationships with engineering, platform, product, and business stakeholders. Partner with leaders across technology and business readiness teams (including UAT and post-release validation) to remove organizational obstacles and ensure release confidence. Recognize and communicate the business impact of technology quality decisions across the enterprise.
  • Governance, Standards & Risk Management: Establish and enforce high engineering standards for testing architecture, code quality, and documentation. Embed best practices across the organization.
  • Executive Engagement & Influence: Represent the testing function in strategic planning, technical reviews, and leadership forums. Influence decisions that impact enterprise technology delivery.
